Few days back Orkut introduced the concept of Orkut themes. Orkut also released 12 official themes for it's users.
In this post, i will explain how can you change your Orkut theme with the help of Firefox web browser and Greasemonkey, a firefox extension. Greasemonkey allows you to customize the way your webpages look and function. Greasemonkey works with user scripts on firefox version 1.5 - 3.0.
To change your Orkut theme, you first need to install Firefox, then install Greasemonkey. Once your installation is done, you have to download the user scripts for Orkut. The collection of many good Orkut user Scripts and installation procedure is given here.

Opera, the leading web browser today announced that it has added Ask.com, a leading search engine to it's latest version of Opera desktop browser.
Opera 9.51 is the latest version of Opera desktop browser and because of this collaboration, Opera users will be able to take advantage of a popular search engine. Below is the snippet of press release from Opera.

Adobe Labs Releases Flash Player 10 Beta 2 And RTMFP FAQ

Adobe labs today released the beta 2 of Flash Player 10 code name "Astro" with new features and bug fixes. Beta 1 was released in May, 2008. The new features in Flash Player 10 beta 2 are-

Also there were long discussions going on between flash developers about new protocol "Real Time Media Flow Protocol (RTMFP)" released by adobe along with the release of Flash Player 10. Adobe has also released the RTMFP FAQ, which will give more insight on this new protocol.

Dimdim Close To Release V4.0 And Desktop Sharing For Mac
Dimdim, the free open source web meeting service, today announced that they are soon going to release Dimdim V4.0. The big noticable feature will be Deskop Sharing for Mac.
In an earlier announcement made by Dimdim, they shared that "Mac/Linux screensharing is leading the pack followed by recording and archiving of meetings". Dimdim team was working hard to bring Dimdim Mac for it's users.

Adobe Systems today announced the beta 2 release of Ads For Adobe PDF Powered By Yahoo. Last year Yahoo and Adobe partnered to bring ads for pdf files.
About Ads for Adobe PDF:
"Ads for Adobe PDF" is a free service that let you earn money by including ads in your PDF documents. To provide this service, Adobe has partnered with Yahoo. Yahoo will provide the ads for Adobe PDF by matching the contents of the PDF. When user will click on ads from your PDF documents, you will be paid.
Currently Ads for Adobe PDF beta is open to participate with only limitation that the PDF content should be in English and targeted at a U.S. user base.

Google Is Retiring AdSense Referrals
Google today announced that It's retiring the Adsense Referrals in order to improve AdSense by providing best results for publishers in monetary terms.
According to Google Adsense team, the AdSense Referrals program will retired during the last week of August. Google has also suggested the alternate of Referrals to publishers. The alternate option is-
Google Affiliate Network: Google Affiliate Network is for those advertisers and publishers who want to increase sales through affiliate marketing. This was the result of recent Google acquisition of DoubleClick affilate operations.
Other than Affiliate, publishers can also replaced their referral ad units with standard AdSense for content ad units if they have less than three AdSense for content ad units on a page.
Google also suggested it's publishers to remove the referral code from their sites because it will not display ads at the start of last week of August.
